The official operation launching ceremony of the Electricite du Laos Transmission Company Limited (EDL-T) was recently held in Vientiane, the capital of Laos. As the operator of the country's national backbone grid, EDL-T is responsible for the investment, construction, and operation of power grids in Laos with voltages of 230 kV and above, as well as cross-border grid interconnection projects with neighboring countries. The aim is to provide Laos with safe, stable, and sustainable power transmission services. This company is a joint venture between China Southern Power Grid (CSG) and Lao state-run Electricite du Laos (EDL). (Bo)
