According to news from the Dalian Commodity Exchange (DCE) on March 18, the Bursa Malaysia Dalian Commodity Exchange Soybean Oil Futures (FSOY) began trading on the Bursa Malaysia Derivatives Exchange on March 18, marking the first futures contract with Chinese commodity prices as a benchmark for settlement launched on an ASEAN exchange.

China is not only the world's biggest soybean importer and consumer, but also the largest producer and consumer of soybean oil. In 2023, the trading volume of the DCE Soybean Oil Futures reached 204 million lots.
