On May 8, the Y477 tourist train "Colorful Guizhou" running from Guiyang in China's Guizhou Province to Vientiane in Laos departed from Guiyang Station with more than 200 tourists on board, setting off on an eight-day trip. This marks the first cross-border tourist train from China's Guizhou Province to Laos.
This tourist train offers a model of travel that combines a special train, EMUs, and bus services. Tourists can take the "Panda Train" at Guiyang Station to Xishuangbanna in Yunnan Province, and then transfer to the international passenger trains of the China-Laos Railway to visit sites in Laos, such as the capital Vientiane, Vang Vieng, and Luang Prabang. At each stop along the route, shuttle buses are available to transport tourists to various tourist attractions, allowing them to experience the exotic customs of Laos. (Bo)
