China's first vertical high-altitude engine simulation test stand successfully ignited on Wednesday, marking its preparedness for liquid-propellant rocket engines, according to the developer, the 101 institution, a subsidiary of the 6th Academy of the state-owned aerospace giant China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation (CASC).
The test stand has full active ejection capability with improved efficiency and reliability, with operating difficulties significantly reduced.
Development of the test stand aims to realize real-time system inspection and full digital management by means of scaled test verification, digital simulation, and test process reengineering, so as to ensure reliability of the test system and meet the requirements of high-altitude simulation testing of model engines.
The institute said it will give full play to the function of the test stand, continue to improve the capability of liquid-propellant rocket operational verification, and provide strong support for China's space exploration.
