On May 31, coinciding with the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Malaysia, Juneyao Air launched its first direct flight from Shanghai to Penang, Malaysia. This marks the inaugural regular direct flight between the two cities. On that significant day, Juneyao Air operated its maiden flight, HO1365, from Shanghai to Penang using the Airbus A320 series aircraft, and this fully booked flight departed from Shanghai Pudong International Airport at 17:30 and arrived in Penang at 23:00 local time.
