Held on June 1 and 2, the 'JIANHUI PAPER CUP' 2024 China-ASEAN International Dragon Boat Open unfolded across two days at the open-air waters of Xunjiang Park in Tengxian County, Wuzhou.

The competition featured two categories: a 22-person open group and a 22-person public group. Drawing 28 teams from the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region of China, and various ASEAN member states like the Philippines, Thailand, Malaysia, and Indonesia, the competition had 200-meter and 500-meter straightway races.

Among these teams, Guangxi Tengxian Dragon Boat Team won the first place in the 200-meter straightway race of the 22-person open category. Recognizing Tengxian County's rich dragon boat culture, the Dragon Boat Race in Tengxian County was selected into the sixth group of the Wuzhou Municipal Intangible Cultural Heritage Protection List in 2022.
