Recently, in the wax apple orchard of Dongfeng Community in Fucheng Town, Wuming District, the fruit trees were lush, and clusters of bright red, plump wax apples dotted the green leaves, with farmers busy picking the ripe fruit.

It is reported that Dongfeng Community has planted about 100 mu of wax apples, with more than half of the area currently bearing fruit. The varieties are Da Ye Hong and Black Sugar Barbie. This year"s fruits are excellent in appearance, yield, and taste, with each tree producing up to over 150 kilograms. Buyers are flocking to the orchard, and the market demand exceeds supply, with field purchase prices reaching 14 to 20 yuan per kilogram, making the income considerable. In recent years, Dongfeng Community in Fucheng Town, Wuming District has leveraged local resource advantages to vigorously develop specialty melon and fruit industries such as muskmelons, wax apples, and waxberries. Farmers are guided to continuously optimize planting techniques and improve varieties, establishing the industrial development pattern of "one village, one product" or "one village, multiple products". This creates year-round industries, boosting villagers' incomes through the cultivation of specialty melons and fruits.
