On July 24, 2024, the trade and investment conference between China's Guangxi and the Vietnamese provinces of Ha Giang, Quang Ninh, Lang Son, and Cao Bang was held in Nanning. The event brought together 120 participants, including officials from the economic, trade, tourism, and agriculture sectors of the four Vietnamese border provinces, along with entrepreneurs from both China and Vietnam. The China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) Guangxi Committee and the Center for Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion of Lang Son Province signed a memorandum of cooperation. Do Nam Trung, Consul General of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam in Nanning, expressed hope that this event will strengthen the consulate general's role as a bridge to enhance economic and trade cooperation between the four Vietnamese border provinces and Guangxi and establish a regular communication mechanism.
