Recently, in response to internet reports about the rising prices of jasmine flowers in Hengzhou, the Hengzhou Jasmine Industry Service Center indicated that the primary factor contributing to this increase is the growing demand for jasmine flowers in the new tea drinks industry over the past few years. This shift in demand has altered the supply and demand dynamics, resulting in a continual rise in flower prices.

It is estimated that this year, the average price of fresh jasmine flowers in Hengzhou is approximately 50 yuan per kilogram, with some prices reaching as high as 80 yuan per kilogram. In recent years, Hengzhou has been enhancing the value-added potential of its jasmine flower industry by attracting leading companies such as Beijing Zhang Yiyuan Tea Co., Ltd. and Bennytea Co., Ltd. These companies have developed a variety of jasmine tea-related drinks. In order to further promote jasmine tea drinks, the relevant departments in Hengzhou plan to host competitions during this year’s Jasmine Flower Festival. They will invite companies from various regions to make “Jasmine Tea +” drinks on site, providing an opportunity for more people to enjoy these drinks while gaining a deeper appreciation for the fragrance of Hengzhou’s jasmine.
