48-hour express delivery to major cities in Guangxi and ASEAN countries to be realized in 2027

Recently, State Post Bureau of the Republic of China issued a document on supporting Guangxi to build a regional international postal service hub with a primary focus on ASEAN countries.

It is reported that the document has made deployment from five aspects including the expansion of cross-border delivery market scale, the construction of cross-border delivery infrastructure, etc. Within the scope of China (Guangxi) Pilot Free Trade Zone, the approval authority for international express business license is to be delegated to the Postal Administration of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. The document also encourages and supports foreign enterprises to operate international express business in Guangxi. The document proposes that by 2027. the autonomous region will have built more than three cross-border e-commerce postal express agglomeration areas with efficient operation and industrial integration; Guangxi will have cultivated one or two backbone enterprises with business covering ASEAN countries, and have basically achieved 48-hour delivery to major cities in Guangxi and ASEAN countries. By 2035. a regional international postal service hub with a primary focus on ASEAN countries will be accomplished.
