The 22nd Tonggu Folk Song Art Festival mass cultural performance concluded on the evening of Sept 27 at the grand lecture hall of Guangxi Weibaqun Cadre College in Hechi city.

The event was organized by the Communist Party Committee of Hechi city, the Hechi local government and the region's culture and tourism department – with a total of 37 performances from 11 counties in the city, including 28 performances of newly created works.

The renditions were divided into five major categories – vocal music, square dances, drama sketches and dance – presented in the afternoon and evening sessions.

Each county's cultural, radio, television and tourism bureau put on rousing performances – such as the dance Love Song of Shengsheng by the Jinchengjiang cultural, radio, television and tourism bureau. There was also a great sketch called Duonu's Home – performed by the Nandan cultural, radio, television and tourism bureau – demonstrating a diverse range of artistic expressions.

Furthermore, the performance covered various themes, including showcasing Red-themed areas, praising hometowns and new lives and displaying ethnic customs through vocal and dance performances. That enabled the audience to enjoy high-quality cultural performances, while at the same time being imbued with patriotic sentiments.

A panel of six experts will select award winners and the awards ceremony will take place at the closing ceremony.
