Theaters, gyms, libraries, museums and galleries among other indoor venues can admit consumers and visitors by reservation, according to new guidelines issued by the State Council joint prevention and control mechanism.
The guidelines required the venues to set a cap on visitor numbers and put epidemic prevention measures in place.
Epidemic prevention and control in China has shifted from emergency response to a regular task, said the guidelines, asking indoor markets, shopping malls, hotels and restaurants to fully reopen.
Theaters across the country remained closed to avoid mass gatherings amid the epidemic, holding off the release of newly-produced films.
