China has suspended the export of medical supplies as "market purchase," the Ministry of Commerce said in a statement on Tuesday.
The statement said domestic or foreign companies and individuals can't export medical supplies as "market purchase" but they can still buy those supplies and later export as "general trade" or under other categories.
China has always paid close attention to the quality and safety of medical supplies and exercised strict management over related products, the ministry said.
