An online investment promotion and contract signing event of the China (Guangxi) Pilot Free Trade Zone will be held by the Guangxi government in its capital city Nanning on June 6.

The event is an innovative investment model during the COVID-19 epidemic prevention and control period to accelerate the investment promotion efforts in the Guangxi FTZ.

It includes four parts, a video connection with government leaders of Guangxi, a signing ceremony of major projects, a live broadcast of policy interpretation, and promotion of the leading industries in the Guangxi FTZ, which will be presented through domestic and foreign media outlets, as well as a live broadcast on various network platforms.

The outstanding advantages, leading industries, and construction achievements of the Guangxi FTZ will be introduced, while supporting policies and the business environment of the Guangxi FTZ will be interpreted from the aspects of finance, taxation, industry and talents, and leading industries. In addition, the preferential policies and key projects in the Nanning area, Qinzhou Port area, and Chongzuo area of the Guangxi FTZ will be promoted.

A number of investment agreements of major projects will be signed at the event.

On August 26, 2019, the State Council approved the establishment of the Guangxi FTZ, which opened a new journey of high-level opening up for the region. To date, the number of existing enterprises in the Guangxi FTZ has exceeded 10,000, including 173 foreign-funded enterprises. It has 7,199 newly established enterprises, as well as more than 20 World Top 500 and China Top 500 enterprises that have entered the three areas of the Guangxi FTZ.

In the future, the Guangxi FTZ will build on its unique location advantages, create a better development environment, and focus on building a high-level opening-up system with Guangxi characteristics.
