Guigang in Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region held a media summit on optimizing its business environment on June 12, introducing the great efforts and fruitful results made by the city in doing business.
In recent years, Guigang has rapidly developed its business environment. From 2016 to 2019, the contract funds of new projects in the city reached 185.24 billion yuan ($26.19 billion), with an average annual growth rate of 19.72 percent. The growth rate of the main economic indicators has ranked in the forefront of Guangxi for four consecutive years.
The improvement of its business environment has been a result of the innovative government services promoted by Guigang.
Guigang implemented facial recognition services on March 2019, being the first city to do so in Guangxi. People can use the multi-function input device in the government affairs hall to handle matters with a single face scan and quick identity verification.
In addition, people can also use facial recognition to automatically register and log in to their personal accounts for quick declaration and quick query of the progress of their matters online, through the 24-hour self-service area of the government affairs hall, as well as with the official app and the WeChat public account of the Guigang government.
In order to promote the reform of the approval system, improve the efficiency of approvals, and strengthen the application of public credit information in government services, Guigang took the lead in launching a new work model integrating credit with government services in Guangxi on May 28, 2020.
Enterprises and individuals with good credit will enjoy unconditional simplified approval processing and the entire follow-up service.
