In order to alleviate the severe impact on international trade caused by the COVID-19 epidemic and help Chinese foreign trade companies expand their sales, the China (Guangxi)-Africa & Middle East Digital Trade Week will be held online globally from June 29 to July 5.
According to a press conference held in Nanning, Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region on June 16, the event will focus on products made in Guangxi, aiming to display and promote high-quality Guangxi products to foreign customers, help Guangxi foreign trade enterprises enter the Middle East and African markets, and promote economic and trade exchanges and cooperation between Guangxi and Middle East and African countries.
More than 300 kinds of commodities from 100 Guangxi export enterprises will be exhibited during the event, including construction materials, construction machinery, hardware and electrical machinery, automobiles and auto parts, food and agriculture, home decoration, daily necessities, plastics, printing and packaging, medicine and medical equipment, home appliances, and electronic products. It is expected to attract more than 10,000 overseas merchants to participate in online procurement consultations.
An online live-streaming promotion will be held daily for sectors like medical rehabilitation, hardware and building materials, ceramics and home improvement, light industry and daily necessities, automobiles and parts, construction machinery and power equipment, and agricultural food. Anyone interested can also partake in one-on-one online negotiations through the video connection.
The China Council for the Promotion of International Trade Guangxi Committee (Guangxi CCPIT), the sponsor of the digital trade week, will issue promotional invitations to more than 300 industry associations and multinational procurement companies in more than 64 countries in the Middle East and Africa to attract buyers.
