With the comprehensive completion and development of its modern characteristic agricultural demonstration zone, the industrial poverty alleviation measures in Guangxi's demonstration zones have achieved great success in the five aspects of poverty alleviation industries, technological innovation, brand cultivation, poverty alleviation coverage, as well as increasing income.
Guangxi has established 13,851 demonstration zones (parks, spots) at the autonomous region, county, township, and village levels. To date, the poverty alleviation coverage rate of the region's characteristic poverty alleviation industries has reached 97.89 percent, exceeding the national average of 92 percent. A total of 167 autonomous region-level demonstration zones were set up in 54 key impoverished counties.
Agricultural science and technology talents at all levels have been gathered to form 100 industrial poverty alleviation expert service groups, 33 nationally designated poverty alleviation expert service groups for industrial poverty alleviation, 133 industrial poverty alleviation training lecturer groups, 2,900 technical commissioners from impoverished villages, and 32,700 industry development instructors for impoverished households.
The region has cultivated 1,141 high-quality brands and 1,544 agricultural product brands have been certificated as pollution-free, green, organic, and with an agro-product geographical indication.
About 5,370 villages promoted and cultivated new business entities or industrial demonstration bases (parks, spots). There are 3,967 agricultural enterprises and 8,200 farmer cooperatives in the demonstration zones of the whole region.
From 2016 to 2019, among the 4.5 million people in Guangxi who have been lifted out of poverty, 94.67 percent have increased their incomes due to industry assistance.
