Peleg Lewi, consul general of Israel in Guangzhou, expressed his hope that more active and innovative measures can be launched to enhance cooperation between China and Israel during an interview conducted in Nanning on Oct 15 during the 11th Pan-Beibu Gulf Economic Cooperation Forum.

"Israel is like a bridge connecting China and Asia. Therefore, the New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor is very vital to our country," Lewi said. "I think our biggest advantage, as well as our biggest contribution to the world, is our achievements in scientific development and innovation, and our country will contribute more to the construction of the land-sea trade corridor in the future."

The cooperation between Israel and Guangxi mainly revolves around scientific technologies as many government agencies and companies in the region are using technologies from Israel. "Israel is quite advanced in farm irrigation and we hope to promote this technology to Guangxi," added Lewi.
