The 2020 Guangxi Industrial Internet Forum commenced in Liuzhou, Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region on Oct 28, with discussions held regarding the future development of the integration of the internet and advanced manufacturing.

Hosted by the Department of Industry and Information Technology of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region and the Liuzhou municipal people's government, the forum gathered attendees including the people in charge of relevant government departments at all levels in Guangxi, experts, as well as entrepreneurs.

Liuzhou was awarded as the demonstration city on industrial internet in Guangxi during the event, being the first of its kind in the region.

The industrial internet has seen wide application in Liuzhou's manufacturing industry offering innovative new models in fields like smart manufacturing, customized production, and digital management, greatly pushing forward the transformation and upgrading of the manufacturing industry.

Fei Zhirong, vice chairman of Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, said that Guangxi has attached great importance to industrial internet development and that support will be offered for Liuzhou to accelerate the construction of industrial internet in areas spanning automobiles, machinery, and steel.

Fei added that he hopes that Liuzhou can make use of this opportunity as a demonstration city to develop a model that can be promoted and replicated.
