The 2020 Guangxi Culture and Tourism Development Conference was held in Liuzhou, Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region from Nov 4 to 6. A total of 42 projects have been signed to settle in Guangxi, with the total investment amount exceeding 103.53 billion yuan ($15.62 billion).
The event was hosted by the Department of Culture and Tourism of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, as well as the Liuzhou municipal people's government. It was undertaken by the Liuzhou culture, radio, television, and tourism bureau, as well as the Liuzhou investment promotion bureau.
About 300 guests, including leaders in charge of cities in Guangxi, heads of cultural and tourism departments, leaders of county and district governments in Liuzhou, representatives of domestic cultural tourism enterprises, as well as media representatives, participated in the conference and signing ceremony.
The distinctive cultural tourism resources of Guangxi and the unique charm of Liuzhou were showcased and promoted at the signing ceremony through the broadcast of promotional videos, investment promotion materials, and PowerPoint (PPT) presentations.
The contracted projects highlight industrial integration and cover the entire industry chain of health care and cultural tourism, including cultural facilities, tourism development, leisure and vacation, medical healthcare, as well as sports healthcare. Among them, Liuzhou had 29 signed projects, with an investment amount of 80.45 billion yuan.
