Second ASEAN-China TV Week opens in Guilin

The 2nd ASEAN-China TV Week Opening Ceremony and ASEAN-China Excellent Communication Cases Release Ceremony was held in Guilin, Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region on Nov 23. This year's ASEAN-China TV Week will last until Nov 29.

Guests attending the opening ceremony included Meng Dong, deputy director of the National Radio and Television Administration, Fan Xiaoli, head of the Publicity Department of the CPC Guangxi Committee, Zhao Leqin, secretary of the CPC Guilin municipal committee, Pehin Dato Rahmani Dato Basir, ambassador of Brunei to China, Virasack Somphong, consul general of Laos in Nanning, as well as Hoang Ngoc Vinh, consul general of Vietnam in Nanning.

Five cases were awarded as this year's ASEAN-China Excellent Communication Cases, including the Dream of the Red Chamber in Burmese made by Guangxi Radio and Television Network, out of 73 cases submitted from all over the country for competition. 

The Audio-visual Communication Forum, which is part of this year's ASEAN-China TV Week, is being held in Guilin on Nov 24, gathering more than 100 guests, including relevant government officials from China and ASEAN countries, experts, scholars, as well as leading talents from large media platforms. 

The forum, which includes a main forum and two themed seminars, includes discussions on pressing issues like the development trends of the China-ASEAN audio-visual communication industry, as well as the integrated development of 5G technology and the audio-visual communication industry.

First held in 2019, the ASEAN-China TV Week has been making contributions to media cooperation between China and ASEAN countries, as well as the establishment of a closer China-ASEAN community.
