Six of Nanning's sister cities will set up exhibition areas at the upcoming 17th China-ASEAN Expo (CAEXPO), officials announced during a press conference held on Nov 24.
The six cities are: Paysandu, Uruguay; Akita, Japan; Davao, the Philippines; Khon Kaen, Thailand; Crema, Italy; and Provence, France.
Due to the outbreak of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19), delegations of these sister cities are unable to visit the CAEXPO on site, but they will sent local distinctive products for exhibition by mail.
Inviting Nanning's sister cities to participate in the CAEXPO is expected to allow these cities to showcase their advantages and products at the expo, attracting potential partners for business negotiations.
