An agreement was signed on Nov 27 to set up a new-type of longevity science and technology research institute of Alage Life Science Co Ltd  in Nanning, Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region.

Chen Xiaodong, chairman of Alage, said that Guangxi boasts unique longevity resources which are rare in the world. The research institute will engage in the R&D of longevity products relying on the advanced biological and big data technologies. It will launch three 100-year plans related to longevity, health and vibrancy.

This will help Nanning become a benchmark in longevity science and technology, and assist Guangxi to seize the development opportunities of the big health industry during the 14th Five-Year Plan period (2021-25), added Chen.

Founded in 2017, Alage focuses on big data pertaining to intestinal health and longevity science and technology. Its R&D team boasts a great number of talents with high educational background covering biology, metagenomics, bioinformatics, biomedicine, big data and image omics.

The enterprise has a R&D center in Nanning, an independent biological lab, an independent AI algorism lab, several joint labs, as well as wholly-owned subsidiaries and marketing operations centers in Shenzhen, Hong Kong and Fangchenggang.
