The Chongzuo area of the China (Guangxi) Pilot Free Trade Zone (FTZ) held a promotion fair in Nanning, Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region on Nov 28, signing a total of nine industrial projects.
"The Chongzuo area of the China (Guangxi) Pilot FTZ will strive to become a demonstration zone for cross-border industrial cooperation, the gateway of the New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor, as well as a new hub for opening-up and development in the border areas," said Yang Yajun, executive deputy director of the administrative committee of the Chongzuo area.
The Chongzuo area is the only border area among the three areas in the China (Guangxi) Pilot FTZ. It is located in Pingxiang, which has the largest border trade volume, as well as fruit export and import volume in China.
Yang noted that the Chongzuo area, which covers 15 square kilometers, has two international ports, two frontier trade areas, as well as six logistics and trade channels connecting to Vietnam. It possesses the most ports and channels among all 66 FTZ areas in China.
