Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region is set to build a platform integrating international logistics resources for ASEAN, as well as improving the modernization level of regional industrial chains and supply chains.
A plaque-unveiling ceremony for both Guangxi Modern Logistics Group and Guangxi Supply Chain Service Group Co Ltd was held in Nanning, capital of Guangxi, on Feb 25.
Guests including Zou Zhanye, vice chairperson of Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, and Li Jieyun, head of the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, attended the ceremony.
Li said that setting up Guangxi Modern Logistics Group is an important step in developing new drivers of socio-economic development and promoting the construction of a modern logistics system.
Guangxi Modern Logistics Group is a large State-owned company integrating logistics resources in Guangxi. It aims to establish a multimodal transport logistics system that keeps China-ASEAN industrial chains and supply chains stable.
It now primarily manages three businesses, namely logistics, environmental protection, as well as mechatronics.
