An online lecture was held by the Guangxi Institute of Studies on Economics and Politics of Southeast Asia on March 26, with the aim of boosting exchanges and communication between China and Vietnam.

The lecture focused on pressing issues such as the current state of Vietnamese media outlets' reports on China and the cooperation and exchanges among Asian media outlets.

Wang Jian, an experienced reporter from China Daily who used to be based in Vietnam, outlined the status quo of Vietnamese media outlets and gave an overview of the special features that Vietnamese media outlets have when delivering reports related to China. 

Wang also gave an introduction to many of the media outlets in Vietnam including traditional media and social media, offering windows for researchers on Vietnam to examine the country.

Attendees of the lecture noted that it provided the latest information about various areas of Vietnam such as politics, economy, culture and education.
