The first batch of Chinese electric heavy commercial vehicles was exported to and sold in Israel, the Israeli car import dealership China Motors said Sunday.

The company imports the electric commercial model Maxus e Deliver 9 from the automaker SAIC Maxus, a subordinate company of China's leading automaker SAIC Motor Corporation.

The van version offered in Israel has an 88.5-kWh battery capacity, which gives it a driving range of about 350 km. Regular charging of the vehicle's battery takes about eight hours, while fast charging of 80 percent of the battery takes about 45 minutes.

Founded in 2009, China Motors imports from China a variety of vehicles, including buses and trucks, as well as heavy engineering equipment.
