China has removed the asterisk from the travel code of all Chinese residents to facilitate greater mobility, the country's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology announced Wednesday.
China adheres to its dynamic zero-COVID policy and strategies to tackle both imported and domestic infections put forward by the CPC Central Committee and the State Council, with the move to support the efficient coordination of pandemic prevention and control along with economic and social development, the ministry said.
An asterisk indicated there were medium- or high-risk areas in cities people visited in the past 14 days.
