Jakarta-Bandung High-Speed Railway (HSR) No. 4 casting yard on Wednesday completed the prefabrication and erection task of all 1,066 box girders, laying a solid foundation for the completion and opening of the Jakarta-Bandung HSR in June 2023.

With the largest quantities of box girders to prefabricate and erect among the three casting yards on the whole line, No. 4 casting yard adopted a 24-hour three-shift work scheme of "lifting, transporting and erecting" on the construction sites, which ensured that the construction process was safe and orderly, and was completed eight days ahead of schedule.

At present, 2,486 out of 2,558 box girders on the Jakarta-Bandung HSR have been prefabricated and erected. All 13 tunnels have been completed. Over 92 percent of the subgrade, bridge and station civil works have been completed.

With a design speed of 350 km per hour, the Jakarta-Bandung HSR built with Chinese technology will cut the journey between Jakarta and Bandung, the capital of Indonesia's West Java province, from more than three hours to around 40 minutes.
