The 2022 3rd China-ASEAN (Liuzhou) Tourism Equipment Expo took place in Liuzhou, Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, on Dec 27, gathering nearly 100 outdoor sports enterprises both domestic and abroad.

This year's event, focusing on personal travel equipment, set up a total exhibition area of 18,000 square meters, and showcased products such as camping gear, kayaks and outdoor travel equipment.

"The global culture and tourism industry has been greatly impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic since 2020, but the outdoor tourism industry is about see a revival with the gradual normalization of Chinese people's daily life. The tourism equipment industry will welcome this explosive growth," said Chen Bin, a member of the China Tourism Association.

Tao Cheng, an official from the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, stated that great efforts should be made in promoting independent innovation and high-end manufacturing as the tourism industry normalizes.

Tao added that Liuzhou is a powerful industrial city in Southwest China and has unique advantages in developing tourism equipment. The expo, gathering enterprises, experts and scholars in the tourism equipment sector, is expected to carry out enriching discussions and promote the high-quality development of China's tourism equipment industry.

The China-ASEAN (Liuzhou) Tourism Equipment Expo has had three successful sessions, and is now striving to be an international and professional event in the tourism equipment industry.
