On January 8, Guangxi's ports resumed customs clearance in line with the national policy. Nucleic acid testing and centralized quarantine for inbound travelers will be no longer needed. Both passenger and freight customs clearance at ports in the province will be resumed in an orderly manner. This will provide more convenience for inbound and outbound passengers and international freight transport.

At Youyiguan Port on the morning of the same day, a large number of Chinese citizens with luggage and children entered the country and took shuttle buses to their hometowns. Among them was Ms. Huang from Liuzhou City with her 7-month-old daughter. After going through the customs clearance procedures, she took a shuttle bus to return home for the upcoming Spring Festival. Due to COVID-19, she had been looking forward to this day for three years. Now she can finally return home, which made her very happy.

January 8 is the second day of the Spring Festival travel rush and the first day of the official reopening of the China-Vietnam Friendship Pass—Youyiguan Port—for passenger entry and exit. On the day, more than 1,500 Chinese people returned to the country to go back to their hometowns. Guangxi Yunde Autotransport Group has timely resumed the shuttle bus service from Nanning, China to Hanoi, Vietnam to offer convenient services for inbound passengers going back to their hometowns. According to the Group"s Vice President Zhong Zhigang, the Group prepared more than 20 types of vehicles on January 8, such as cars, buses, and customized buses. Notably, chartered buses were customized for passengers, including those traveling short distances to airports, Langdong Coach Station, Nanning East Railway Station, and other places. By doing so, the Group wanted to ensure that inbound passengers can arrive at their destinations in a timely, safe and comfortable manner. In the near future, the Group will increase the number of services depending on the passenger throughput at the ports and work to resume the operation of China-Vietnam through buses, thereby further facilitating the mobility of the people.
