Dongxing port, a land border port with Vietnam in Fangchenggang City, south China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, resumed passenger services from Tuesday to meet the needs of cross-border travelers and traders.
The land port saw many inbound travelers, many of whom were traveling for business, shopping and meeting friends.
It takes about three to four minutes to undergo customs clearance procedures.
A tourist from Vietnam told CNS reporter: "The last time I came back was two years ago. I feel pleased to be back today. I missed a lot of local delicacies. "I want to have rice noodles and walk along the seaside," said a Chinese tourist.
Dongxing Port is a state-level first-class port for economic and trade exchanges, connected to Mon Cai in Vietnam through the two Beilun River bridges, and ranks as the main trade route between China and Vietnam.
"In order to resume passenger transport smoothly, the exit-entry frontier inspection station in Dongxing adjusted its service, increased police, and optimized the customs clearance procedures to ensure the process is safe and efficient," Zhang Long, an officer at Dongxing exit-entry frontier inspection station added.
