The "Sanyuesan" festival, which falls on the third day of the third month of the Chinese lunar calendar, is celebrated with a unique "firework-snatching" game in Wuming District, Nanning, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. A firework will be launched into the air, and players compete to grab it as it descends. The team that obtains the firework can pass, cover, fake, run, and use other strategies to score a point by putting it into the opposing team's basket; meanwhile, the opposing team can use interception, hand-holding, and other tactics to try to take possession of the firework or prevent the holder from advancing. This intense competition requires both physical strength and intelligence from the young players who participate. In 2021, the "firework-snatching" game was recognized as part of the eighth list of intangible cultural heritage at the autonomous district level by the Zhuang community in Wuming.
