The first batch of maintenance personnel training for the Jakarta-Bandung HSR, Southeast Asia"s first high-speed railway, is currently being held at the Indonesian Railway Polytechnic in the small town of Madiun, Jawa Timur, Indonesia.
The training started at the end of February with a total of 173 Indonesian students, who are being taught by the Chinese maintenance and management team and Chinese railway vocational colleges.
The training program focuses on developing personnel for four professional positions: high-speed train drivers, high-speed train mechanics, operation control center dispatchers, and emergency services personnel. Students from different professions are receiving theoretical training here for a period of 3 to 6 months. (Bo)
