China will train 1,000 digital talents for ASEAN countries within three years, a senior official said at the China-ASEAN Forum on Emerging Industries held in Shenzhen on Tuesday.
Jin Zhuanglong, minister of Industry and Information Technology of China, said the country is willing to work with ASEAN, guided by capacity building, to carry out joint pilot demonstrations and talent exchanges.
Efforts will be made to continuously enhance synergy among local governments, industries, academia, research, application, and business sectors, he added.
The minister has proposed four suggestions for promoting the development of emerging industries between China and ASEAN.
He stressed that governments should strengthen policy coordination to create a favorable environment for the development of emerging industries and stimulate innovation vitality to promote high-quality development in key areas.
It is also important to explore new models of coordinated development, he said.
