Liuzhou's key industries were showcased at a promotional fair in Jakarta, Indonesia, on July 5. The city's famous calling cards, such as Wuling and luosifen, or Liuzhou's river snail rice noodles, were also highlighted at the event.
Luosifen has now become well-known food all over China, thanks to its internet fame, and is now being sold around the world. Liuzhou luosifen enterprises have been cooperating with Indonesian ones for many years and their products are loved by local consumers.
Officials of the Liuzhou commerce bureau noted that Liuzhou automobile brands such as Wuling, Baojun, Chenglong, and Forthing have been exported to 72 countries and regions. SAIC-GM-Wuling has built a vehicle production base in Indonesia, which has led to more than a dozen auto parts production enterprises investing in Indonesia.
Last year, Wuling's new energy vehicle Air EV became the official designated vehicle for the G20 Summit in Bali. In 2022, the output of new energy vehicles in Liuzhou hit 667,000, accounting for about 10 percent of the whole country's total.
More than 30 Liuzhou enterprises, including those producing automobiles and luosifen, looked for business opportunities during the event. They wanted to expand their international market reach through Indonesia.
