As the G55301 Fuxing train departed from Nanjing South Station and headed towards Taicang Station on Wednesday morning, it marked that the Shanghai-Nanjing Yangtze River high-speed railway concluded joint debugging and testing and began its one-month trial operation.
Upon entering the trial operation, tests will be carried out in fault simulation and emergency rescue drills. These tests will evaluate the adaptability of various systems on the high-speed railway under normal and abnormal conditions.
“We have for the first time overcome the key technology that makes it difficult for high-speed rail to cross large water surfaces for communication coverage,” said Luo Cheng, deputy manager of the railway project of China Railway Construction Electrification Bureau.
“We have also achieved synchronous construction of highway network communication and high-speed rail, and shared construction of railway private network and 5G public network to ensure driving safety and fast and free internet access for passengers,” he added.
The Shanghai-Nanjing Yangtze River high-speed railway starts from Nanjing South Station and terminates at Taicang Station, passing through cities including Nanjing, Jurong, Changzhou, Jiangyin, Zhangjiagang, Changshu, and Taicang. The entire line is equipped with eight stations and has a maximum designed speed of 350 kilometers per hour.
