Statistics from Chongqing Xiyong Customs showed, from January to July 2023, 43 batches of self-heating hot pots with the value topping RMB 600,000 were exported, a surge of 244% year on year. Export destinations cover Cambodia, Thailand and other Southeast Asian countries.
"Self-heating hot pots are popular mainly because of convenience." According to an industry insider, self-heating hot pots preserve the flavor of the food to a large extent and they are convenient to consume.
