The "Charming City" exhibition will make its comeback at the upcoming 20th China-ASEAN Expo after being postponed by the COVID-19 pandemic. The expo is scheduled to take place in Nanning, capital of Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, from Sept 16 to 19.
The exhibition has been a popular attraction in previous sessions, and this year's expo will feature Hangzhou in Zhejiang province, Seri Begawan in Brunei, Phnom Penh in Cambodia, and Kalimantan Tengah in Indonesia.
The "Charming City" exhibition has been promoting cooperation between China and ASEAN member countries. Since its introduction at the second expo in 2005, a total of 174 Chinese and ASEAN cities have showcased their development in trade, investment, technology, culture, and tourism.
It is expected that the exhibition will comprehensively boost the image and influence of the featured cities. It will also promote open development and organize various investment promotion and economic cooperation events to create more business opportunities.
