On the morning of October 2, Indonesian President Joko Widodo announced the official opening of the Jakarta-Bandung High-Speed Railway (HSR) at the Halim HSR Station in Jakarta, the capital of Indonesia. As the first HSR in Indonesia and Southeast Asia, Jakarta-Bandung HSR boasts a speed of 350 kilometers per hour, marking a significant step towards the modernization of Indonesia"s transportation industry, as stated by President Joko. The technology used in the Jakarta-Bandung HSR, along with the rapid speed, is "fresh" for the Indonesian people. Heads of the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in the Republic of Indonesia, China Railway International Co., Ltd., and Indonesia China High-Speed Railways Limited (KCIC) attended the opening ceremony.
