The 2024 Guangxi (Pingxiang) China-Vietnam Border Tourism Festival kicked off on May 27 at the Friendship Pass Scenic Area in Pingxiang, Chongzuo City, Guangxi. Guests and merchants from China and ASEAN (Association of Southeast Asian Nations) countries gathered in the border city to discuss cooperation and development. 

With the theme of "Enjoying the Border Customs, Cooperating for Mutual Benefits", this year's China-Vietnam Border Tourism Festival covers cultural tourism, sports, and economic trade activities, including 14 activities such as the 2024 China-Vietnam (Pingxiang) Border Residents Gala, China-Vietnam Cycling Race, and the 2024 China-ASEAN (Pingxiang) Import and Export Fair. 

At the opening ceremony of the tourism festival, the boutique route of the Guangxi National Tourism Scenic Route—the Border Tourism Scenic Route was released. Attendees signed a number of cooperation projects, such as the Cooperation Agreement on Trading Platform of China-ASEAN (Chongzuo) Fruit Trading Center Project and the Cooperation Agreement on China-Vietnam Cross-border Goods Bonded Logistics.
