Recently, it was learned that the national event of the World Environment Day in 2024 will be held in Nanning City on June 5, and all preparations for the event are now ready.

It is reported that the event focuses on the comprehensive promotion of the development of a beautiful China, and the theme and initiative of "Land Restoration, Desertification and Drought Resilience" on World Environment Day, and tells the story of China, showcases Guangxi's characteristics, and highlights ASEAN elements by the "1+1+6" model of "1 main venue activity, 1 theme promotion activity, and 6 supporting promotion activities". Guangxi will take the opportunity of holding the national event of the World Environment Day in 2024, fully and accurately implement the new development philosophy, focus on "carbon reduction, green expansion and economic growth", make every effort to build an important ecological barrier in southern China, and contribute to pursuing Chinese path to modernization featuring harmonious coexistence between man and nature.
