The art exhibition on the theme of "Guilin's Scenery" is in full swing, hosted by Guilin Art Academy.

Guilin landscape paintings hold a unique position among Chinese landscape paintings, attracting numerous renowned painters who have chosen Guilin's scenery as their creative inspiration. Through their works, they encapsulate the uniquely elegant charm of Guilin's scenery. According to records, during the Song Dynasty, the painter Mi Fu depicted Guilin's scenery in his work titled Yangshuo Mountain. During the Qing Dynasty, renowned painters Ju Chao and Ju Lian, founders of the Lingnan School of Painting, were attracted to Guilin to advance their artistic pursuits. In the early and mid-20th century, celebrated painters Qi Baishi, Huang Binhong, Xu Beihong, Bai Xueshi, Li Keran, and Zhou Sicong traveled to Guilin to sketch from nature.

Over the past 40 years since its establishment, Guilin Art Academy has insisted on making artistic creations with a focus on landscape painting, striving to break new ground in this genre. The event "National Renowned Artists Painting Guilin" has been successfully held for two sessions, attracting numerous distinguished artists who capture Guilin's scenery through ink and wash paintings, watercolor paintings, oil paintings, prints, and sculptures. In addition, several creation activities on the theme of Guilin's scenery have been organized, including "Budding Talents—Guilin Kids Painting Guilin", "Blossoming Elegance", "In the Prime of Life", and "Timeless Beauty". These events bring the beauty of Guilin's scenery to life.
