Yulin Feather Painting, recognized as an intangible cultural heritage of Guangxi, is predominantly found in the urban area of Yulin. Since the late Ming and early Qing dynasties, local folk artists have been creating lifelike paintings of flowers, birds, and landscapes with their skillful hands and keen eyes, exchanging these as fine art treasures.

There are two main types of Yulin Feather Paintings: flat feather paintings and semi-relief feather paintings. The feathers used in these artworks undergo a complex process of selection, washing, disinfection, sterilization, cutting, and moth-proofing. Using traditional techniques of sculpture, woodcarving, and decorative art, these paintings are crafted into vivid and attractive artworks.
