YAN'AN, Shaanxi, June 19 (Xinhua) -- Chinese President Xi Jinping has underscored the importance of enhancing political loyalty in the military in the new era and providing firm political guarantee for building a strong military.

Xi, also general secretary of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and chairman of the Central Military Commission, made the statement at a military political work conference held in Yan'an of northwest China's Shaanxi Province from Monday to Wednesday.
