On the morning of June 27, the two-way departure ceremony of cross-border railway express (Chongqing, China-Vientiane, Laos-Bangkok, Thailand-Selangor, Malaysia) along the ILSTC was held simultaneously at Xiaonanya Station in Jiangjin District, Chongqing and Sungai Way Station in Selangor, Malaysia.

A cross-border express freight train carrying 40 TEUs of chemical raw materials has departed from Xiaonanya Station. This train will pass through Laos and Thailand and reach Malaysia in 9 days. Simultaneously, another train carrying 48 TEUs of agricultural products, food, and daily necessities from ASEAN countries has departed from Sungai Way Station and is also set to arrive in Chongqing in 9 days.

This is the first two-way international freight train crossing China, Laos, Thailand and Malaysia along the ILSTC, marking a further extension and exploration of ILSTC since the operation of China-Laos-Thailand freight trains in December 2023. (Bo)
