The duties of Myanmar's Acting President U Myint Swe were transferred to Chairman of the State Administration Council (SAC) Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, the state-run Myanmar Radio and Television (MRTV) reported on Monday.

The report said that a statement was already released that Acting President U Myint Swe was receiving medical treatment after taking a medical leave due to his health condition.

The Acting President's Office sent a letter to SAC Chairman's Office stating that the duties of the Acting President will be transferred to SAC Chairman to carry out the works of Myanmar's National Defense and Security Council (NDSC) as necessary, and to assume the duties of the Acting President while he is absent, the report said.

After this letter was sent, the signing for transferring the duties of the Acting President to SAC Chairman was completed on Monday morning to carry out the works of the NDSC, the report said.
