Recently, it has been announced that two projects from Guangxi have been selected as the national highway modern maintenance pilot programs: the "Centralized Maintenance Project for New International Land-Sea Corridor Ordinary National Highway Network" and the "Scientific Maintenance Project for Du'an-Nanning Section of G75 Lanzhou-Haikou Expressway".

It is reported that the former is part of Guangxi’s initiative to enhance the service capacity of ordinary national and provincial trunk highways within the New International Land-Sea Corridor. It includes projects aimed at improving highway surface serviceability and upgrading the safety capabilities of the highway network structure. The latter will involve measures such as improving maintenance levels and introducing intelligent equipment for pavement detection to establish a data standard system for cement pavement maintenance, so as to ultimately extend the lifespan of cement concrete pavements.
