Recently, it was learned that by July 25, Guangxi had harvested 11.11 million mu of early rice, achieving 91.15% of the target, an increase of 189,800 mu compared to that of the same period last year, indicating a bountiful harvest.

It is reported that since the beginning of this year, Guangxi has strengthened technological support and training guidance, promoted the construction of environmentally friendly, high-yield and high-efficiency farmland, increased rice density and the number of spikelet, implemented rational close planting of corn and soybeans, focused on high-yield rice and corn projects, promptly harvested early rice and planted late rice. These efforts ensured reserve of early rice and other summer grains, laying a solid foundation for stable grain production. In 2024, Guangxi has innovatively implemented a three-year action plan (2024-2026) to increase rice density and the number of spikelet, promoting balanced production of rice in large scale. So far, the effort of increasing early rice density and spikelet output has produced initial results. Additionally, Guangxi has strengthened warning for agricultural disaster and pest prevention and control, vigorously promoting unified pest and disease control.
