The public open days for the research vessel Tan Kah Kee (R/V TKK), owned by Xiamen University, took place at the cruise center in Port Klang, Selangor, Malaysia on August 2, local time. This event, sponsored by Xiamen University Malaysia and the China-ASEAN College of Marine Sciences, celebrates significant milestones, including the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between China and Malaysia, the Year of China-Malaysia Friendship, and the 150th birthday of Mr. Tan Kah Kee. R/V TKK opened to the public for free from August 3 to August 4, offering local visitors a variety of activities, including laboratory tours, exhibitions, science popularization videos, and engaging interactive experiences.
